SpriteSheetMaker Updated – New Sprite Sheet Preview

Over the weekend I managed to grab some time to fix some bugs add some new features. One that has been on my “todo” list for quite a while is the 1:1 preview window so you can see how your sprite sheet will actually look once exported – useful if you are trying to make sure that sequential sprites are in the correct order as the SpriteSheetMaker layout deliberately scales the sprites up to make it easier to move them around.

If you already have my SpriteSheetMaker app installed you won’t have to do anything as it will automatically install as soon as I push it live to the server (which may have already happened by the time you read this post). As the version info in the status bar indicates, this is still an Alpha build and as such treat any new feature as a work in progress (although I’ve not come across any serious bugs with this update). If you’ve not tried out my SpriteSheetMaker application you can read more about it, (and download a copy), from here.

I’m also in the process of updating the UI as I plan to add a few more ‘big ticket’ items shortly, and while the current UI is serviceable, it isn’t flexible enough for these new features.
